Hello and welcome! Seeking out a therapist can feel daunting, but the process of healing is so very rewarding. As a therapist, my greatest honor is holding a safe space for all who join me to feel seen, heard, and understood. Working to unravel complicated emotions and mend old wounds is something that I firmly believe no one should have to do alone. I would love to be that person that walks alongside you on this journey!
I am a Northwest Arkansas local and a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees in Social Work. As a board-certified Licensed Certified Social Worker, I have extensive experience working with adolescents and adults, with a primary focus on trauma. I have received training in EMDR and Tf-CBT, and I have training to work with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those struggling with grief and problematic sexual behaviors.
During my sessions, I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals process the emotions and cognitive distortions that often accompany traumatic experiences and complex family dynamics. I am particularly passionate about working with teens and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, PTSD, and interpersonal conflict.
I believe that all people, no matter their background, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or past experiences, deserve to be met with empathy, authenticity, and support as well as a therapist that will meet them where they are at.
In my spare time I love spending time with my husband, son, and cats, listening to true crime podcasts, and drinking more coffee than a person probably should. If you feel like we would be a good fit, please reach out!
